Repeat Dial if Busy

By Nadeem Unuth, About.com

Definition:

The Repeat Dial if Busy feature is helpful if you can't be bothered trying again and again to reach someone whose phone line is constantly busy. Who has enough patience to be bothered with this?

When you dial a number and hear the busy tone, the 'repeat dial if busy' feature will automatically redial the number time and again, while you attend to something else. Redialing will continue until the recipient's line is free. Then your phone will let you know about it, by ringing you back when you are being connected. You just have to come along and take the call.
