You might be having some well-deserved sleep, or might just want to be cut off from the outside world. With the 'do not disturb' feature, your phone will not ring.
Does this mean that you will miss the call? Not necessarily. The person calling will be prompted to leave a voicemail, which you will retrieve when you are ready for it.
