Contact Lists allow you to customize your Caller ID so that the name displayed for a contact is the one that you want to see. You are already enjoying this feature with your mobile phone.
For example, if your mum is called Tzepphora Moses, you are most likely going to see 'MOSES, T.' when she calls, if you are having caller ID with name feature. The contact lists feature allows you to change that so that, for example, each time your mum phones, you see 'MUM'. You can have whatever else you wish: Dad, GrandMa, Honey, WetBlanket, Flea, Gandalf, Saruman etc...
