Call Forwarding

By Nadeem Unuth, About.com

Definition:

Call forwarding allows you to forward incoming calls from your phone to any other phone or to voicemail. You can thus be sure not to miss any call while you are away from home or office.

What does forwarding a call mean? It simply means that when your phone rings at home, and you are not there, the call is transferred to another phone (depending on what you have set before leaving). For example, you can forward your calls to your mobile phone if you want anyone to reach you anywhere. Or you can forward your home calls to your office while you are working. Interestingly enough, some service providers offer call forwarding to more than one number.
