AnyMeeting – Free Webinar and Collaboration Tool

About.com Rating 4.5 Star Rating

By

AnyMeeting is free without restrictions, unlike other software and tools of the kind. Those other webinar and collaboration tools give some interesting free service and propose a paid premium for added features or for fewer restrictions. AnyMeeting just gives everything it has away for free, but makes money on advertisement. It allows you to have webinars and meetings with up to 200 participants.

Pros

  • Completely free.
  • Free webinar with up to 200 participants.
  • Very easy to use, and browser-based.
  • Many features.

Cons

  • It is ad-supported, which can be disturbing.

Review

AnyMeeting is among the best free webinar software around, because it is completely free and it allows for up to 200 attendees in a meeting, which is a lot. Also, it offers a lot of features for free. It has all the qualities of a good commercial webinar tool, but is free. The price to pay is advertisement.

If you are immune to advertisement, then it is the tool for you. But bearing in mind that you and your audience are an audience for ads might put you ill at ease, especially if you are doing business stuff on there. It would be fine for a teacher or friends, but it does not help with the impression in business.

The tool is very simple to use. You can set up and start web conferencing and webinars with only your browser, without needing to download and install anything.

However, if you want to share your screen, which happens nearly every time people have a webinar, then you are required to install a small piece of software.

AnyMeeting has many features, even more than some paid services. These features include: screen sharing, conference calling, video conferencing and video broadcasting, session recording, email invitations, custom registration forms, ticket sales to webinar, Facebook and Twitter integration, application sharing, file sharing, polling and some other features.
