VoIP on Apple's iPad Green-Lighted

VoIP is no longer an option for new devices. After so much ado with allowing VoIP on the iPhone, both from Apple and their network partner AT&T, the iPad comes with a launch that show people in Apple and partners have known better.

If you are acquiring the Apple's iPad, you will have VoIP on it, and over 3G. The number of applications supported so far is limited - iCall and Fring actually work - but the Software Development Kit is being updated so that developers can build VoIP applications for the all of Apple's i's: iPad, iPod and iPhone. Skype is still waiting for some stuff to be cleared, but will see the green light soon, it seems. Read more
