Denial Of Service Security Threats Found In Microsoft Communicator

I was expecting that much earlier, but late or not, it does come with Microsoft. The traditional follow-up will now be a patch, eventually followed by another version. VoIPShield uncovered three 'severe' VoIP vulnerabilities in the Microsoft OCS VoIP suite. They are the emoticon denial of service (DoS), in which a large number of emoticons can cause the Communicator to become non-responsive; the RTCP report block DoS, which causes denial of service through report packets; and the INVITE flood DoS, whereby excessive memory consumption can cause a denial of service.
