MagicJack - Plug The Jack For Free Calls
Friday March 21, 2008
A new trend of VoIP services has emerged: device-based services. Through a device that you buy, you can make phone calls for free, without ever getting bothered with monthly phone bills. The first popular one we knew was PhoneGnome, then came Ooma. MagicJack has also joined the race.
The MagicJack device is not as bulky and as expensive as those of PhoneGnome and Ooma - it is merely twice as large as a USB pen drive, and costs $40. Unlike the other hardware-based services, however, it does not free you from needing a running PC while making and receiving calls. But the price and great call quality are much worth the try. A 30-day free trial is even being given till the end of March, so you can try without paying. Read the review.
