VoIP in UK - New Rules

While VoIP adoption tends to shift to Europe, Europeans are sharpening their saw. The 911 emergency calls issue has engendered quite a debate in the US, and the UK wants to dodge before the blow.
The UK Office of Communications (somewhat analogous to the FCC in the US) ruled that VoIP service providers in the UK will have to be more transparent and provide more information on the services they provide. The rule also enforces the provision of emergency calls through VoIP: 999 calls. Read more.
